Help GDP Provide COVID-19 Relief to Lincoln Families
The Golden Dragon Project is working together with community donors, Lincoln teachers and staff to support our families who are experience food and financial insecurity as a result of the COVID-19 crisis. GDP and other community donors have supported 213 families through over $20,000 in donations in the form of grocery gift cards since April 2020. We’re asking for donations to the Principal’s Discretionary Fund to support continued assistance to our families in need. To donate, please click here.
You can also donate by check. Checks should be made out to “Golden Dragon Project at Lincoln School.” Please include “COVID-19 Relief” in the memo line and mail checks to Golden Dragon Project at Lincoln Elementary, 225 11th St, Oakland, CA 94607.

Every year the Golden Dragon Project plans community events and fundraiser events (e.g., the Fall Walk-a-thon and Spring Carnival). GDP funds field trips, music and art classes, and technology improvements.
The GDP is proud to sponsor Lincoln Elementary’s annual fourth grade field trip in honor of Rosita Young, the teacher who spearheaded the tradition of 4th grade camp, who recently passed away. Contributions to the fourth grade fund should be made payable to the “Golden Dragon Project.” Please indicate the “Rosita Young 4th Grade Camp Fund” on the memo line.
Golden Dragon Project Purpose Statement
We, the parents and guardians of Lincoln Elementary School students, establish the Golden Dragon Project (GDP), a volunteer organization, for the purpose of fostering academic knowledge, intellectual curiosity, imaginative thought, and social responsibility in our children. The purpose of GDP is to enhance and support the educational experience at Lincoln Elementary, to develop a closer connection between school and home by encouraging parent involvement, and to improve the environment at Lincoln Elementary through volunteer and financial support. All parents and guardians of current Lincoln students, as well as Lincoln teachers, staff, and administrators are eligible for membership.

The Golden Dragon Project holds board meetings and community meetings in alternating months throughout the school year. All Lincoln parents are welcome and encouraged to become involved with GDP. Translation and childcare are available.

GDP has funded….
- New iPads for the Computer Lab and technology for the classrooms.
- Gift bags of paper towels, disinfecting spray, hand sanitizer, tissue, dry erase markers, bandaids, and alcohol wipes to over 40 teachers and staff.
- Art classes for all grades.
- The Cantare after-school choir.
- Parent nights and community gatherings, including an the annual Lunar New Year Celebration and the Lincoln Spring Carnival.
